College Bound?


AB ADAMS SCHOLARSHIP


While we are busy working through the difficulties that are associated with being employed by AT&T, there sons, daughters and even grandchildren of our members who will be graduating this year. They too have difficult decisions to make concerning their continuing education.


Those decisions include what career should I pursue, what University should I attend to give me the best opportunities to be successful and how do I or my parents pay for that education. Local 6201 is proud to offer (4) scholarships honoring one of our past presidents, A.B. Adams. The A.B Adams Scholarship consist of one (1) $2000, and one (1) $1000 and two (2) $500 scholarships to be used by the recipients in any manner to further their education.



WHO MAY APPLY: High school Seniors or recent graduates who are dependents or grandchildren of a:


Member of CWA Local 6201. You must be planning to attend an Accredited University, College or Technical Institute in the summer or fall term.


PAYMENT: Grant will be paid directly to the facility of your choice upon acceptance.  


In the event no one in the above mentioned criteria is submitted or is disqualified, members in good standing may qualify with same guidelines.

 


The application consists of a short form to be completed asking for additional information about the applicant and an article describing “What the Union means to Me”


These applications are available at the Union Hall must be postmarked and returned to the Hall by April 17, 2024.
